End of Year 2019
“One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.” – Proverbs 11:24
As we look forward to setting our intentions for 2020—a brand new year of hope and promise—we offer up prayers of gratitude for the blessings of the past year. As Christians, we are called to bear witness to His love.
Our brothers and sisters living in the Holy Land are some of the people who are most in need of that love. They face daily discrimination and despair and many have even been forced to leave their homes. In spite of the hardships that have plagued them, they still have not lost their faith. They remain devoted to God, and as it was written in the Gospel, they “turn the other cheek.”
Imagine living in a land where Jesus lived and where Christians are no longer welcome. This New Year, we ask that you consider what you can do to make a difference in their lives. A prayer can touch their hearts. Your time can give hope and encouragement. A donation can provide opportunity and a renewed spirit.
We humbly ask that you continue to support FFHL during 2020, in our mission to stop the Christian exodus from the Holy Land. Your generosity eases the struggles of Christians in the area and allows them to thrive and live openly for the Lord. We give all the glory to God as we work tirelessly to preserve the Living Stones.
Your contribution helps us carry out the mission of God and put Saint Francis’ teachings into practice.
Yours in Christ,
-Fr. Peter F. Vasko, OFM
