(Fox) Joy has come to Palestinians. It may not be a lasting joy for all but certainly for the family and friends of 21 prisoners freed by Israel today as part of a deal that set in motion the current Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
The prisoners released today were the second of four groups that Israel, despite protests, will free. Many of the prisoners have been behind prison walls for more than 20 years. A crowd of 2000 was on hand to welcome the freed Palestinians home, according to the Associated Press.
President Abbas spoke at the gathering.
