(Fox) In a much anticipated meeting between Pope Francis and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Pope was given a book written by the Prime Minister’s late father. The book was on the Inquisition. Not sure what Francis was thinking as he received it but I’m sure he was graceful. Many misconceptions have been promoted over the years with regard to the Inquisition and the Catholic Church’s involvement. According to Fox, Netanyahu’s father was “known in academic circles for his research into the Catholic Church’s medieval inquisition against the Jews of Spain.”
