(Terrasanta.net) Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu was scheduled to meet with Pope Francis in Rome today, according to the the office of the Israeli premier. Ah, no he’s not, says the Holy See. What has been termed as a diplomatic failure by Israeli daily Haaretz on the part of the Israeli government may not be that extreme, but it is clear that there was some sort of miscommunication.
The meeting would have been Mr Netanyahu’s first with Pope Francis. My guess is that it will have to be rescheduled for a more mutually agreed upon time.
