FFHL Summer Appeal
Christians in the Holy Land know they have a very special mission given to them by God.
With so much uncertainty and change in our world right now, one thing that will always remain is the gift of music. Music gives our souls color. It is the element by which we can illuminate our imaginations, inspire others and share with our communities. In a time when our spirits may feel heavy, music uplifts. As the Bible declares in Psalm 96:1.
Even amidst the uncertainty, we know that oppression does not stop; therefore we must not stop. We are in this together, in every season, and our fight to preserve Christianity in the Holy Land will faithfully continue. One of the ways Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land is able to share hope with young Christians is through the gift of musical scholarships to the Magnificat Institute. The Magnificat Institute, founded in 1995 by musician and composer, Fr. Armando Pierucci, serves over 200 Christian, Muslim and Jewish students studying an array of musical disciplines. It aims to prepare teachers to share a love for music within schools in the Holy Land, as well as give students a chance to perform in various religious landmarks in the Holy City of Jerusalem.
Our mission is to preserve the Living Stones of the Holy Land, and we are fully committed to supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our programs like the Magnificat Institute provide opportunities to break down the cultural, religious and linguistic barriers in order to promote peaceful relationships between children of different backgrounds.
Given the critical social context in Jerusalem, only some students are able to pay the tuition and attend the Institute. Hence, the importance of outside support for these musical scholarships. Being able to provide this program, in turn, can give these youth a chance to express their God-given gifts. The Magnificat Institute and other adolescent focused FFHL programs, would not be possible without the support of our generous donors. We are forever grateful, for your contributions in support of children and families in the Holy Land. We humbly ask that you consider a gift at this time to help benefit those who are not afforded the same opportunities we are blessed with. Sadly, Christians in the Holy Land face daily challenges to live and thrive in their homeland and face conflict because of their faith in God. Your donation can make a difference. On behalf of the Living Stones of the Holy Land, we thank you for your continued support. None of our work would be possible without you. I carry you in my prayers always.
