Karen was raised in upstate New York where she earned a B.S. from New York State University and an M.S. from Union College in Schenectady. Later she relocated to Atlanta where she entered the field of Real Estate. She has lived in Atlanta for over 30 years. During that time she has been a member of the Junior League of the Atlanta Symphony, has been involved with the matrons of Tallah Falls School (A Georgian school for less privileged children), has been a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and has been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She has been instrumental in organizing a Charismatic Prayer group and the legion of Mary in her parish. Karen is a Eucharistic Minister and a Lady Commander of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. She is very involved in the healing ministry and has been a regional representative of the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land since 1995. She has been a Board Member since 2002.
