New Years Appeal
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11Click here to view the Appeal Letter
A new year is a reminder of God’s provision and promise for a fresh start in Him. As He reminds us in the Bible:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
In Christ, we celebrate the coming of a fresh new year with open arms and a heart full of hope. Let us step out in faith and give thanks for His mercy and goodness. Ephesians 1:18 reminds us, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people.”
Please join me in praying for our Christian brothers and sisters living in the Holy Land that they would be blessed by the Lord in the New Year. As faithful supporters of the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land, your prayers and generosity bring hope and a more promising future to those who are suffering.
As the New Year arrives, may we ask that you prayerfully consider what you can do to make a difference in their lives and for their futures. As a dear friend of FFHL, I ask that you remember their plight in prayer, and please consider making a New Year’s gift to bring needed help to the Holy Land Christians. Through your generosity, many families will be blessed.
“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” -Matthew 25:40
Thank you for your faithful gifts that provide important necessities. Our Christian brothers and sisters are worthy of our support, and we are so grateful for your generous contributions on their behalf.
May the blessings of our Lord and Savior be upon you and yours in the new year. Please use the attached card to share your intentions with me, so I may lift them up to the Lord during a Holy Land mass. I thank you, deeply, for truly living out the gospel. And, I hope you experience countless moments of blessings and joy in 2023.
Yours in the Spirit of Saint Francis,
Father Peter Vasko, OFM
